When qualifying for armed security, you can qualify on a semi-automatic pistol, revolver, shotgun and/or rifle. Our armed security training class will qualify you on a semi-automatic pistol. That is what many armed security companies require their security guards to carry.
However, there are some employers who require their armed security guards to carry (and qualify on) a revolver. It is for this reason we highly suggest you qualify on the pistol and revolver.
If you choose to add on an additional platform to qualify on (revolver, shotgun, or rifle, we can easily do it all at the same time.
Note that if you choose to only qualify only on the semi-automatic pistol, and later want to add revolver, shotgun or rifle onto your qualification, you must take the whole 3-day course again. We highly suggest you add on whatever additional platforms you want during your initial training. This will save you time and money.
There is a $65 fee for each additional platform you wish to qualify on as long as you add this on before or during your scheduled armed security class. This fee does not include your ammunition cost.
If you want to add an additional platform on AFTER you complete your armed security training, you must take the whole 3-day course again. This is why we highly suggest you add on whatever additional platforms you want during your initial training. This will save you time and money.
